  1. ARINC 801

    Tech Optics supplies ARINC 801 fibre optic connectors for aerospace and military applications. Based on the commercial ARINC 801 specification, this series features a removable alignment sleeve retainer (ASR) for ease of termini end face cleaning, guide pins for precision alignment and a scoop proof shell design.  Inserts are available to support 2 to 32-channels and can support both PC and APC variants.

    We also offer genderless ARINC 801 termini which use a standard 1.25mm ferrule and sleeve that can be terminated with standard LC procedures. The terminus is available in both multimode and single mode versions and can be inserted or removed from the connector with a standard size 16 contact removal tool. The fibre optic contact provides low insertion loss (0.3dB max, multimode) and high return loss (-55dB, APC).

  2. MIL-DTL-38999 + M29504/4 & /5

    Tech Optics offer a wide range of MIL-DTL-38999 connector types and configurations to meet harsh environment fibre optic requirements by utilising M29504 contact types.

    M29504 contacts provide superior optical and mechanical performance. Designed to fit into MIL-DTL-38999 Series III, pin size 16 connectors, this low cost, high precision termini family is ideal for harsh environment fibre optic interconnections. Available for single mode and multimode applications, these termini are qualified to MIL-STD-29504/4 & /5 Rev. D.

  3. M28876 Connectors + M29504 /14 & /15

    Tech Optics can supply a complete line of circular fibre optic connectors designed and qualified to MIL-PRF-28876, Rev. E. These connectors are precision-machined to stringent tolerances and designed to provide superior optical performance in extreme environmental conditions.

    Tech Optics can supply M28876 connectors, backshells, and cable assemblies plus test, inspection and termination equipment and training as required.

  4. TFOCA III Fibre Optic Connectors

    The TFOCA-III® series of 6 & 24-channel fibre optic connectors are ideal for environmentally harsh conditions. The TFOCA-III® design utilizes the latest technology in fibre optic connectivity by incorporating industry standard physical contact ceramic ferrules and alignment sleeves.

  5. TFOCA II 4 and 12 channel hermaphroditic connectors

    The TFOCA-II® fibre optic connector, designed by Amphenol Fiber Systems International (AFSI), is ideal for environmentally harsh conditions. This design takes advantage of the latest in fibre optic connectivity technology by utilizing industry standard physical contact ceramic ferrules.

    The TFOCA-II® connector is designed for minimal maintenance in the field but is also fully field repaired reusing all components with the exception of the termini. Its removable end cap allows direct access to the alignment sleeve and termini.

  7. HE-2000 Harsh Environment Push Pull Fibre Optic Connector

    Diamond has developed the new rugged, reliable, IP 67, push-pull actuating HE-2000™ harsh environment connector with superior optical and mechanical performance for demanding applications.

    Built around the innovative Diamond Multipurpose (DM) insert, the HE-2000™ connector incorporates four (4) termini using Diamond's two-component ferrules, assembled with the company's Active Core Alignment (ACA) process for unparalleled fiber core concentricity. Also available are electrical contacts for hybrid E/O applications.

    The optical and electrical termini are protected from dust and water with the unique automatic protection shutter on the plug connector and a manual shutter on the bulkhead receptacle.

    The HE-2000™ connector is available for MM, SM (PC/APC) and small-core single mode fibre, polarization-maintaining (PM) fibre, and other specialty fibre types. Furthermore, Diamond splice-on termini can be field terminated with the Diamond ZEUS D50 HE fusion splicer, allowing for in-service repairs and special installations

  8. MIL-38999 DM Ruggedised Fibre Optic Connector

    Diamond has developed an advanced COTS MIL-38999 DM style connector that demonstrates exceptional performance in demanding optical applications. For the first time, rugged 38999 connectors are available for use with small-core single mode fiber, polarization-maintaining (PM) fiber, and other specialty fiber types.

    Built around the innovative Diamond Multipurpose (DM) insert, the connector incorporates four (4) termini with Diamond's two-component ferrules, assembled with the company's Active Core Alignment (ACA) process for unparalleled core concentricity. Also available are electrical contacts for hybrid E/O applications. Furthermore, Diamond splice-on termini for repairs can be field terminated with the Diamond ZEUS D50 HE fusion splicer.


  9. MIL-83526 DM Outdoor Connector

    Diamond has developed the new rugged IP68, MIL-83526 DM connector featuring the DM (Diamond Multipurpose) insert for superior optical performance. This connector is extremely well suited for harsh environments and other demanding applications. The MIL-83526 DM (Diamond Multipurpose) connector incorporates four (4) termini utilizing Diamond's two-component ferrules, assembled with the company's Active Core Alignment (ACA) process for unparalleled fiber core concentricity. This connector is also available with electrical contacts for hybrid E/O applications.

    The MIL-83526 DM connector is available for MM, SM (PC/APC) and smallcore single mode fibre, polarization-maintaining (PM) fibre, and other specialty fibre types. Furthermore, Diamond‘s splice-on termini can be field terminated with the Diamond ZEUS D50 HE fusion splicer, allowing for in-service repairs and custom installation.


  10. HDM - Hermaphroditic Duplex Miniature

    The Fibre Optic Hermaphroditic range has been extended to include an additional product, the Hermaphroditic Duplex. This product has been specially designed to facilitate the interconnection of fibre optic cable assemblies, thus eliminating the need for polarising the assemblies and the use of in-line adapters.

  11. BDC - Bayonet Duplex Connector

    The Bayonet Duplex Connector (BDC) series offers proven connector construction with tri-mating bayonet locking mechanism for ease and quick mate / de-mate.

    The connector is designed for singlemode or multimode duplex cable using tight jacket or tactical cable construction. Materials include aluminium alloy and marine bronze for defence, industrial, telecoms and offshore applications.

  13. BQC – Bayonet Quad Connector

    The Bayonet Quad Connector has been designed specifically to facilitate the interconnection of fibre optic cable assemblies, thus eliminating the need for polarising the assemblies and the use of inline adapters. The BQC series utilises ceramic sprung loaded ferrule technology, giving low repeatable optical attenuation.

    The shell material is Aluminium Zinc Cobalt Olive Drab for Mil Coms applications and Stainless Steel for oil field and mining applications.

  15. TFOCA Multi-Channel Fibre Optics Connectors

    The TFOCA series has been formally approved by CECOM (US Army Communications Electronics Command Fort Monmouth, New Jersey) and meets the performance criteria as specified in MIL-C-83526. 

    The TFOCA connector is a hermaphroditic design utilized for tactical deployable communications systems. This genderless characteristic allows for concatenations of cable assemblies without regard for connector interface compatibility.

    The ruggedized connector and housing will withstand the repeated handling and mating cycles typically required for rapid fiber optic cable deployment and retrieval in a tactical environment.
