A low-cost buffer stripping tool from Tech Optics, often referred to as a 'Siemens' type stripping tool, is available for either 250µm coated loose-tube fibres or 900µm tight buffered secondary-coated fibres.

The tool is graduated so that the stop can be positioned precisely to give the required length of clean fibre.
