MEDIA CONVERTERS

Tyco Electronics Ethernet Media Converters

10/100Mbit/s Media Converters

These very simple and easy to install Ethernet media converters support 10/100Mbit/s data rates, full/half duplex modes and Link Loss Forwarding. They allow users and workgroups to connect to remote access switches, routers and servers and PC NIC cards.

Support for the industry standard fibre connectors simplifies installation into new and legacy cabling systems.

The standalone converters can also be 19" rack-mounted in an AC powered enclosure to simplify installation in communication rooms where large numbers of fibre circuits are being terminated.

 Product Highlights

  • Fully compatible with 10Base-T, 100Base-T and the 100Base-FX standards
  • Available in both multimode and singlemode fibre formats
  • Supports full or half -duplex auto-negotiation together with N-Way capability
  • Auto-MDI/MDI-X eliminates need for RJ-45 crossover cables
