Cleaning Swabs



2.5mm and 1.25mm Cleaning Swabs

Cleaning Swabs in both 2.5mm and 1.25mm diameter provide an easy means of cleaning in-line adaptors. Supplied in packs of 50, each swab has a cleaning tip that may be used with Iso Propyl Alcohol, or dry as required. No glues are used in the manufacturing process of the swabs, eliminating the risk of contamination.

These swabs are particularly useful for cleaning adaptors that undergo regular mate-demate cycles at test stations or in patch panels where frequent reconfiguration occurs.

How to Clean
Typical application of cleaning an SC connector through an adaptor
  (1) Insert Ensure that stick is held straight when inserting into sleeve.
(2) Load Apply sufficient pressure (approx 600-700g) to ensure ferrule is depressed in the sleeve.
(3) Rotate Rotate the stick clockwise 4-5 times, while ensuring direct contact is maintained with the ferrule end-face.
