Steel Armoured Loose Tube Cable
The 700L series heavy duty loose tube cables are designed for direct burial and outdoor conduit installations.
The colour coded gel-filled buffer tubes, containing the optical fibres are cabled around a central strength member.
The interstices between the buffer tubes are also filled with a moisture repellent gel.
An inner jacket of polyethylene is overlaid with a corrugated steel tape the overlap of which is welded to produce a watertight armouring.
The outer polyethylene cable jacket bonds to a polymer coating
on the steel armouring enhancing the protection given to the cable
against rodents and a variety of other hazards.
