LSZHB Series Indoor - Outdoor Cable

LSZHB series Indoor-Outdoor Cables are of a loose tube construction and meet the requirements of the UL 1581 and IEEE 383 flame tests for cable tray installation. The cable design features a central strength member around which colour coded buffer tubes, each containing one or more optical fibres, are cabled.

The cabled buffer tubes are sheathed with an additional Kevlar strengthening yarn and the cable completed with a fire retardent polyolefin jacket. This design gives the optimum protection for external applications, balanced against the needs for use inside buildings.

  • Dry, super absorbent polymers (SAPs) eliminate water migration in cable interstices
  • Available with up to 216 optical fibres
  • Suitable for lashed aerial, duct, underground conduit and indoor applications

Custom build cables are available for heavy or industrial applications to provide extra strength and durability together with dual jacket designs, corrugated steel or interlock steel armour.

Values given in the above table are for cable made with of 12 fibres per tube, for example, 48 fibres made up of 4 tubes with 12 fibres per tube. Cables can be supplied with 2, 4, 6, or 8 fibres per tube on a custom build.

This cable design allows a maximum of 216 fibres in one cable.
