These compact enclosures are ideal for repairing cables, extending data links or for pigtailing directly from the trunk cable to a transceiver in a small fibre count cable system.
They are made from die cast aluminium and have a liquid tight seal to protect the splices against weather and environmental conditions.
The enclosures can therefore withstand being buried in the ground, mounted on a wall or placed in some out of the way location.
The key feature to this design is low cost easy to use. No splice tray is used, instead, splice organisers are mounted directly inside the enclosure to hold the completed splices.
By looping the fibres around the inside of the Datacom Enclosure and fastening the splices to the organisers, ample bend relief radii is provided to multimode fibres.
The Datacom Enclosure can be used with either Norland UVC splices
or with fusion splices.
