Heat shrink tubing is available in a commercial polyolefin grade and in an environmental protective grade, meeting most requirements for fibre optic terminations and installations.
The CTW-602 commercial grade polyolefin is ideal for sleeving connectors, zipcord cable bifurcation and general insulation.
It requires a minimum shrink temperature of 120oC and is well suited to both manual and automatic methods of application.
ETW-803 is a flexible heat shrinkable tubing with a coextruded hot melt adhesive inner wall.
The excellent flow properties of the adhesive ensures good environmental sealing of complex parts. As this tubing shrinks, molten adhesive flows and is forced into gaps and crevices.
When the adhesive cools it forms a seal against moisture and other fluids whilst the outer wall provides mechanical protection.
This sleeving is ideal for use in patchpanels and enclosures,
splice boxes and cabinets where moisture ingress must be prevented.
